Twas the night before thanksgiving and all through the house the smells of cooked food rang. I can start my raw food right the day of, now I sit quiet while I soak nuts and prepare pesto. I am calm, with raw food, all you need are a few things. I myself love mono meals, but since I am also presenting raw food with my traditional cooked meal for my family. I want to have some extra fun to try. Last year I ordered raw food, this year, I am preparing all myself. Just my daughter and I. We have raw apple pie, we have key lime pie our raw favorite, we have mango pudding a smash from last year. We are making raw pesto greens, raw cranberry sauce with apples, fresh veggies and raw dip. That is the meal I love, and it is quick and simple. while for my family and their traditions I have the turkey of course, dressing, cooked greens and green beans, sweet potato pie, it is a pit luck so the family will bring the other trimmings. My mom will bring the cut up raw veggies. This is in memory of my brother whom dies this year on April 18, 2009, he brought raw food and its healing path to our family.
Thank You Brother Kamau
